Nicholas Chavez joined the cast of “General Hospital” in 2021 as
the troubled Spencer Cassadine, the heir to the powerful Cassadine
family and the grandson of beloved Mayor Laura Webber. He is currently
in a budding romance with good girl Trina Robinson.

“General Hospital” is Chavez’s first major television role. A
year after joining “GH,” Chavez won his first Daytime Emmy® for
Outstanding Younger Performer in a Daytime Drama and won the 2021 Soap
Hub Award for Favorite Newcomer. In 2022, People Magazine also
featured Chavez in their weekly section, “People’s Ones to
Watch.”

Chavez got the performing bug at an early age. He was born in Houston,
but grew up primarily in Denver, where he was a member of local choirs
and participated in high school productions. After attending the
Rutgers performing arts program for a couple of years, Chavez took a
leave of absence from Rutgers and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue
acting full time.

In addition to “GH,” Chavez recently starred as Jason in the Tubi
original film “Crushed.”

When he is not acting, Chavez is an avid chess player and likes to
travel.
